What Trims & Features Does the 2025 Explorer Offer?

The 2025 Ford Explorer is available in four trims.

The base model, the Active, has amenities like tri-zone climate control, heated front seats with multiple adjustments, keyless entry, push-button start, and second-row captain's chairs that seat seven. The Active trim also includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Google-based voice control and navigation, a digital instrument cluster, and a six-speaker audio system. It rides on 18-inch wheels and features a power liftgate and LED exterior lighting. An optional package adds a heated steering wheel, a remote engine start, more adjustments for the front passenger seat, and synthetic leather upholstery.

The ST-Line gets sportier styling with a black grille, black body trim, and darkened headlights and taillights. It comes with 20-inch wheels and black synthetic leather seats with red stitching. This trim also adds more safety technologies and includes a B&O sound system with ten speakers.

The ST trim has 21-inch wheels, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated second-row seats.

The Platinum trim includes a dual-pane sunroof, leather seating, a 14-speaker sound system, and adaptive headlights.

The Explorer's base engine is a 2.3L four-cylinder that delivers 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.
