What's New For the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is the first new Mustang model in more than five decades, and the first Ford vehicle designed specifically as an EV. Which Features Are Available for 2021?

This new, green Mustang variant comes in five trims: Select, Premium, California Route 1, First Edition, and GT. The base offers a full menu of driver conveniences and technology, starting with the Sync infotainment system, which includes Android Auto, Apple CarPlay integration, and navigation. You can wirelessly charge your phone also. The Premium trim adds to this with a dual-screen setup including a 15.5-inch touchscreen and multi-information display, and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.

California Route 1 gets embroidered seats and contrast stitching, along with memory settings, and power-folding mirrors. First Edition gets brushed aluminum pedals, red brake calipers, and First Edition scuff plates. The GT gets heated seats. Vinyl seats with suede inserts are available. This trim also has specially painted brake calipers and 20-inch premium wheels.

The electric motor in the Select trim can push out 255 hp with all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive, and 306 lb-ft of torque with rear-wheel drive and 417 lb-ft with all-wheel drive. In the Premium trim, there are two horsepower configurations, 282 hp and 332 hp. The GT trim has an exclusive battery that cranks out 459 hp with a peak torque of 612 lb-ft. This gives the GT acceleration on the order of the gas-powered Mustang Shelby GT500, going from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. It's easy to charge the Mustang Mach-E. Using a DC fast-charging station, you can charge this EV from 10 to 80 percent in 38 minutes.

2021 Mustang Mach-E Safety Features

The Ford Co-Pilot360, a set of advanced safety aids, is standard in all Mustang Mach-E trims. This package includes post-impact braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist, and automatic high beams. A 360-degree panoramic camera and adaptive cruise control are added, starting with the Premium trim.
