2020 Ford Expedition

What's New For the 2020 Ford Expedition?

The 2020 Ford Expedition gets some notable updates from the previous model year. Now, the Expedition gets more standard safety technology than in the past. All trim levels benefit from the inclusion of the Co-Pilot360 package of safety technologies designed to keep you safe and protected from all angles. This package includes forward-collision warning, automatic braking, rear cross-traffic monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist.

All trim levels get a backup camera as well. Some trims, including the Platinum, can be enhanced with additional safety amenities in addition to the standard Co-Pilot360 package. Along with more safety technology, you'll find that the latest Expedition gets a new look as well. Now, select trims of the Expedition can be ordered with a special Black Accent appearance package. This package gives the body, exterior trim, and wheels a unique coat of black paint for a distinctive look. This year, you can order that package for all trims, starting with the base. The King Ranch trim is now available in two body styles.

Which Trims & Features Are Available in 2020?

Four trim levels are available in the 2020 Ford Expedition. The base model, called the XLT, comes equipped with all the amenities needed for a smooth, comfortable, and relaxing journey. This trim, as with its peers, seats eight people. It has three rows of seats, and the back two rows have a split-folding design for maximum versatility and convenience. This trim is available in a standard body length and a Max body length that adds nine inches to the exterior, creating even more space inside.

Infotainment in the base trim comes in the form of an eight-inch display screen that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The second trim, called the Limited, adds more luxury with leather seats and ambient interior lighting. Its sound system gets a boost with a 12-speaker audio system. On the outside, it is distinguished by 20-inch wheels. The King Ranch follows with trim-specific leather seats, accent stitching, and custom badges.

An adaptive suspension system and larger 22-inch wheels make it more ready for the dirt trails. Topping the line is the Platinum, which comes with a custom set of leather seats, elegant wood trim in the cabin, and power-operated split-folding seats in the second and third rows. Active noise control and more standard safety features are additional highlights.
