How Much Horsepower does the 2023 Ford Mustang Have?

The amount of horsepower the 2023 Mustang has solely depends on the kind of trim you have chosen. The GT trims and the Mach 1 trim are equipped with a 5.0 liter, V-8 engine. The GT trims both come with 450 Hp. The Mach 1 has about 20 more horsepower, boasting 470 Hp over the GT trims, and also has a similar chassis to the Shelby Mustang. Although, the GT has performance equipment pulled directly from the Shelby GT500, making the GT trims an adrenaline-pumping drive.

The GT, along with the other trims' transmission, is a 6-speed manual transmission, or you have the option to get a 10-speed automatic transmission. They are also all 2-door coupes. If you purchase the GT, you will be offered the GT performance package, which adds upgraded Brembo front brakes, and impeccable tire traction.

The turbocharged EcoBoost trims each have a 4-cylinder engine and 310 HP. Both of the EcoBoost trims also offer a high-performance package as well. The high-performance package offers the EcoBoost trims an extra 20 HP making the overall HP of the EcoBoost trims around 330 HP.

The 2023 Mustang with EcoBoost trims averages around 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. The other trims, with V8 engines, average around 15 mpg in the city and 24 mpg highway.
