What's New For The 2019 Ford Ranger?

The most popular Ford small truck is back. It was the only compact pickup sold in the United States when it was discontinued in 2012. It looks considerably different than it did in 2012, with a reskinned version of the Ford T6 Ranger. It has a trapezoidal grille, sleek headlights, and LED headlights in the higher trim levels. Depending on how the pickup is equipped, it can seat up to five people. There is also an infotainment system with a screen, cruise control, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Even the engine has received an upgrade, with an EcoBoost, turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

Which Features are Available in 2019?

There are three trim levels for you to choose from on the Ford Ranger, including the XL, XLT, and Lariat. The XL comes with a rearview camera, six audio speakers, cloth seats, and SYNC. The XLT offers a bit more with a power-locking tailgate, blind spot information system, and color-coordinated carpet with carpeted floor mats. In the Lariat, you can enjoy dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, Fade-to-off interior lighting, leather-trimmed seats, and access to more luxury packages. You can also enjoy convenience with a remote keyless entry system, a locking glove box, and cruise control. Depending on the trim level, you can also have a SecuriLock passive anti-theft system to protect your pickup truck.

Power & Performance

2019 Ford Ranger Exterior FrontThe 2019 Ranger produces 270 horsepower with the 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine. It's also equipped with a 10-speed automatic transition optimizing power and efficiency. The horsepower is managed with a rear-wheel drive or an available four-wheel drive. The rear leaf springs also help to add rugged capability. When equipped with the FX4 off-road package, you can also look forward to upgraded off-road-tuned shocks, a steel front skid plate, underbody skid plates, and all-terrain tires to make it easier to drive on any terrain. There is also a Terrain Management System, similar to the F-150 Raptor, allowing you to choose the drive mode that works best, such as normal, grass, gravel and snow, mud and ruts, and sand.

Which Safety Technologies are Included?
