What's New For The 2019 Ford Expedition?
Ford has announced that the 2019 Ford Expedition will feature a few changes. For one thing, the Expedition will offer a Stealth Edition package. There will also be a new Texas Edition package available for Expedition buyers in 2019.
Some of the features of the Stealth Edition include gloss black accents located all around the vehicle including in places like on the grille, fog lamp bezels, mirror caps, and skid plate on the rear bumper. Another different in appearance on the Stealth Edition is that the Expedition badge will be designed in black. Also, the wheels will come in black for the Stealth Edition.
In 2019, the Expedition model for the year will be a continuation on the fourth generation of the vehicle that was introduced just last year in 2018.

Which Trims & Features are Available in 2019?
The trim levels available for the Expedition in 2019 will include the base XLT that has been offered in previous years. Also, Limited and Platinum trim options will also be available. There is also a Max version available that's around one foot longer than the standard XLT Expedition model.
Some of the features that are available on the base XLT model are 18-inch wheels and seats that both slide out and fold flat down. The base model and all of the other models will seat eight people total. The second row seats recline. There is also six-way power adjustment capabilities for the driver's seat, a Sync infotainment system that will include Sirius XM radio, four available USB ports, total of 15 cupholders, and push-start ignition.
The basic trim is a rear wheel drive model, but there is also a four wheel drive option available on the XLT trim.
2019 Ford Expedition Power & Performance
The horsepower on the base model of the Expedition is 375 horsepower. This model comes with a V-6 engine with a capacity of 3.5 liters. The engine offers 470 foot-pounds of torque. However, Expedition drivers who upgrade to the Platinum trim will enjoy slightly more power with a total of 400 horsepower and 480 foot-pounds of torque. This option also offers an automatic transmission with ten speeds and offers four wheel drive. The base model of the 2019 Expedition will get a total of 17 MPG for city driving and a total of 24 MPG for highway driving.
Ford Expedition Safety Features
Airbags included in the Expedition include front, side, passenger, and rear air bags. The braking features include four-wheel anti-lock braking and four-wheel disc brakes.
Some of the safety features included are brake assist technology, daytime running lights, child safety lock features, stability control, and traction control. Additionally, there are numerous safety features that are optional. Some of the optional safety features from among which motorists can choose include integrated turn signal mirrors, a lane departure warning system, a blind spot monitoring system, and cross-traffic alerting.
