Electric vehicles are going to be an essential part of this planet's future, and Ford is leading the way in increasing their popularity and availability. Recently, Ford paired with a battery company from South Korea in order to invest $11.4 billion in electric vehicle plants. The idea is for Ford to make it so that half of their cars are zero-emission by 2030.

 
Microplastics in the ocean can be extremely dangerous to our health, and we see about 13 million metric tons of plastic entering into the oceans yearly. Much of this ocean plastic comes from discarded fishing equipment. To contribute to the removal of this plastic, Ford is using recycled ocean plastic in the construction of parts used on the latest model of the Ford Bronco. Harness clips attached to a wiring harness system used for the airbag setup inside the side panels of the Bronco are constructed with used plastic collected from the Indian Ocean.
