Specs at a Glance

The first generation of the Ford Fusion came out in 2006. That model design stuck around for the next three years. A few years later, the SUV became much more popular than your average sedan. After people realized how expensive it can be to maintain an SUV, the sedan is starting to make a big comeback. The Fusion never disappeared, but now it is getting some new popularity.

There are four trim levels that Ford is offering as part of the 2019 Fusion package. The 2019 Ford Fusion S and the Fusion SE are both vehicles that we are getting a lot of interest for. This is a vehicle that has a very expensive-looking exterior. It brings sporty and practical to the table. If you are in the market for a new vehicle, let’s take a closer look at these two Ford Fusion models. This way, you can make a more informed decision regarding what your next vehicle should be.

How the Trims Differ in Performance?

We are finding that a lot of manufacturers don’t want to offer various engine options among a certain model of vehicle. Ford has provided the different Fusion trim levels with some great engine options. You could base your trim level decision on performance if you wanted to. The Ford Fusion S trim level is coming with a 2.5L Duratec, I4 engine. This engine option will provide 175 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque while you are on the road. If you are concerned with efficiency numbers, the S’ engine will provide you with 21 miles per gallon for city driving, and 31 miles per gallon on the highway roads. You can opt for the more powerful SE trim level. This gets you the impressive 1.5L EcoBoost® turbocharged I4. It provides drivers with 181 horsepower as well as 185 pound-feet of torque.

Fusion S & SE Exterior Appearance

When you first take a look at the 2019 model of the Ford Fusion, you will be shocked at the price of this vehicle. From the exterior, the Fusion looks like a very high-end vehicle. It has a sporty appeal to it, but it still has plenty of curves and lines. Ford has put a lot of thought into the exterior styling of the Fusion this year. Both the 2019 Fusion S and the 2019 Fusion SE have similar exterior features. There are a few added bells and whistles to the SE. This includes a sunroof and larger, 17-inch wheels.

Which Features are Must-Haves in these Vehicles?

If you will be spending a good deal of time inside your vehicle, the Ford Fusion may very well be the vehicle that you need. From the driver’s perspective, there is a lot of comfort and convenience from the front seat. Technology includes things like, SYNC infotainment, touchscreen controls, blind spot monitoring and crash alert safety system. You have four speakers that are part of your audio sound system. You can use this system to access your smartphone features using hands-free capabilities.

If you upgrade to the SE trim level, you get a lot of the same features that the S trim level has, but much more. Your audio sound system has two additional speakers. You can use WiFi technology in your vehicle. Ford SYNC 3 is included, Fordpass Connect and power adjustable front seats. The driver’s seat can move up to 10 different directions.
