Ford CEO Is the 2022 MotorTrend Person of the Year

Soon after announcing the 2021 Person of the Year award by Time Magazine, many were surprised to see Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla as the recipient. MotorTrend also named Rivian R1T its 2022 truck of the year award winner.

Later, the company named Ford's CEO, Jim Farley, its person of the year award in 2022. Many publications are trying to beat the deadline of naming their choice and giving credit where it is required. Elon Musk's award surprised many, and it may not have as much effect on the EV as expected. Heading on to the truck of the year award announcement, it is a good choice that is unlikely to be noticed. Electric pickup truck winner shows that the automotive industry is advancing.

Ford's CEO clearly shows where the company is headed through the introduction of the Mustang Mach E, which has exceeded the expectations of its customers. While Ford has not yet achieved its desired position in the electric segment, there are notable improvements, and working toward the top.

When Jim Farley took over the company as CEO, most people thought it was dead. This was due to poor leadership and lack of transparency, which saw many promises never actualized. Farley started by making the company's dream come true by turning his vision into software and structure through the output of his best workers.

MotorTrend's decision to choose Farley is influenced by a sneak peek of the upcoming Ford F-150 lightning and commercial electric vehicles. For more information, contact us or visit our dealership.
