2018 Ford F-150 LARIAT SuperCrew

Let’s take a look at the seven trims and many options on the 2018 Ford F-150. You may be surprised at how the truck was made to serve your needs. Value packaging makes it affordable. Luxury and adventure trims make it more fun.

If an adventure is your main goal, the 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor would be a great choice. It comes in either two-row cab with the 5.5-foot bed. Drivers command a one-of-a-kind high-output Ecoboost. This incredible V6 generates 450 horsepower. With Terrain Management, you can make the most of the truck’s 510 lb.-ft. of torque.

For those with business on their mind, we’ll go back to the beginning. The XL is the basic work truck, although it has many advantages in today’s market. The V6 produces a higher rate of horsepower and torque than the 2017 V6. These trucks come in regular, SuperCab and SuperCrew cabins. These can be paired with 5.5-foot, 6.5-foot or 8-foot beds, depending on your cabin choice. Excluding the Raptor’s engine, you can get the XL with any other engine choice mentioned here.

Stepping up to the XLT, shoppers get full power accessories and the Sync system. AppLink and voice commands make it easy for users to stream entertainment via a wireless connection and their smartphone. XLT models offer the same configurations and engines as the XL.

For shoppers focused on premium living, there are three exciting trims. The most flexible is the Lariat because it offers both cabs and three bed sizes. Drivers command a 325-horsepower engine that generates a high rate of torque for superior acceleration on demand. Lariat luxury includes leather upholstery, soft touch points, woodgrain trim accents and ambient lighting. The cockpit has dual-zone programmable HVAC system and power-adjustable pedals. Power front seats have heat and ventilation functions. An eight-inch Sync touchscreen is complemented by a large productivity screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility make it possible for users to access dozens of phone-specific apps.

For a different look with a distinctive style, the King Ranch has leather with a more Western flair. Music is enhanced by the 10-speaker B&O audio system. Drivers benefit from a power-adjusting steering column. Available only as a SuperCrew, the King Ranch offers the advantages of a fully flat load floor when the back bench is folded. Other pluses include a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats and an available WiFi hotspot. The King Ranch V8 generates 395 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque.

Platinum editions offer the same engine, but they step up the luxuries even higher. Crash avoidance is emphasized by the addition of a blind spot information system. This includes a rear cross-traffic monitor. Ready to pamper you, Active Motion seats provide a massage.

Limited editions offer the same multi-contour seating. Additional crash avoidance systems include a pedestrian warning, collision warning, and lane watch. Drivers will appreciate the Adaptive Cruise Control which regulates the truck’s speed, matching speed conditions without driver intervention. The engine, which is available for other trims, is Ford's 375-horsepower, twin-turbo V6.

While tow ratings vary according to engine choice and truck size, every F-150 is built to do the toughest jobs. Dynamic hitch assist makes hookup easier, and it's standard with the rearview camera. Available on all models, Pro Backup Trailer Assist reduces uncertainty when parking a tandem trailer or camper. For travel safety, Trailer Sway Control regulates stability, and the available trailer brake controller improves stopping power.
